Thirty percent of the neighbourhood’s residents are children, so schools are an important aspect of life in Terwillegar Towne. The community is home to two schools:
- Esther Starkman School – an elementary and junior high school. Highlights include the French-as-a-Second-Language program for students in grades 4 to 9. Local students attend Lillian Osbourne, located north of Terwillegar Towne for high school.
- Monsignor William Irwin Catholic School – Administered by Edmonton Catholic Schools, students are taught both French and English.
